Emma Storbacka will be appointed new CEO for Avaus, the Marketing Transformation agency. Her goal will be to drive Avaus expansion both in the Nordics and internationally in Germany and other European markets. Presently Storbacka works as Avaus Country Manager in Sweden. Managing partner Tom Nickels will become Chief Innovation Officer and principal advisor to Avaus’ strategic clients.
Avaus’ Chairman, Harri Roschier says that Storbacka has done an outstanding job launching and growing Avaus’ business in Sweden. “She put together a stellar Swedish team, took the market by storm in just three years and now, Sweden is about to become Avaus’ biggest market. It is the right time for Emma to take the centre stage in Avaus”, says Roschier.
“Being entrusted with taking Avaus to the next level, is both exciting and tremendously challenging. I feel empowered by the excellent client response we have had in Sweden since 2015. My job now is to ensure that we as a company will continue to evolve and that client enthusiasm will continue undeterred in both our established and new markets”, says Storbacka.
Tom Nickels underlines that Avaus’ clients face accelerating change and competitive pressure while digitalising their client interface. “This requires new ways of thinking about customer experience, technologies, data and ways of working., says Nickels. He will focus on driving innovation and Avaus’ role as a trusted partner for the CMO in the Nordics as wells as in Europe. “Our mission as Change Makers is to speed up the transformation at our clients. To do that our whole team must work hard to stay several paces ahead of the curve at all times”, says Nickels.
Emma Storbacka says that business growth requires profound changes in how marketers think and the way marketing organisations operate. She envisions that the digital transformation of the customer-facing functions – marketing, sales and service will further pick up speed. This is indicated by the fact that Avaus’ fastest growth areas have been in advanced analytics and data engineering. “Data Science is now finally integrated with all aspects of marketing. Machine Learning and AI are now able to bring a tremendous boost for the ability to orchestrate customer experiences at scale – and ultimately, that means marketing success”, says Storbacka.
Before Avaus, Emma Storbacka worked as a consultant at Cap Gemini. She will start in her new role on September 1st, 2018.
